PocketPC [Pretec CF CompactModem - 100757]

I have an HP Ipaq 2210 and have been looking at your Pretec CF CompactModem. I am concerned because it says "Drivers for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 only." Does this mean it will be difficult to install the modem on a PocketPC platform? Also, does it come with all the cables that would be required? I was slightly confused because the description says 'wireless'- surely a wire is needed to connect the modem to the phone jack?

We are not sure whether Pretec have the drivers for PPC 2003, you should try the socket card instead. You can download the extra drivers from here. -- Michael - eXpansys

We are using the pretec CF Compact Modem with 2210's and it works fine. There is no need to load any additional software/drivers onto the ipaq. It recognises the card in the connections settings and dials out fine. Hope this is of help

The 2210 has a CF slot, you can put the modem straight in. -- Mahesh - eXpansys
