First of all, hi everybody. I'm french so sorry for my english I bought an OQO on Ebay, it take 12 days to arrived from england but impossible to charge battery with at least 2h of autonomy. The precedent owner tells me that he has never got problem with it and autonomy was 2h. His OQO is 5 month old. When I receipt OQO, battery was completly drain. There is 3 days that I try to reset battery to restore performance of my battery but nothing to do. I have contacted oqo support and I have done exactly what they write to me. I did manipulation several times but always the same result. Here is precisely what I have done: Is there anyone to help me ? Is battery dead ? Is there a problem with OQO ? Do you think it's possible that battery became "crazy" after 12 days without recharging ? Here is what I do I charge battery the maximum as I can. - I remove the battery from the OQO - I press and hold down the button in the back for 30 s - I press down the button once more - I plug in the AC Adapter only into the unit, and boot into Windows. - I place the battery back onto the unit. - I go into Control Panel (Performance and Maintenance)>Power Options Properties>Power Meter tab and check if the battery is recognized there. - I see "battery unknown" - I give it a least two hours to be recognized - After an hour, the battery is always unknown In detailled information I see: Chemistry LiP. Others fields are blanks. - I unplug AC adaptater. Battery is always unknown. - I check the back battery LED indicator lights for any activity: the four lights are flashing during 2 minutes (before unplugging AC adaptater, no activity on lights. ) - I shut down once more and remove the battery. - I boot into BIOS (FN + 2), then place the battery back on - I check for battery recognition in BIOS. I see Battery charge = LOW - I recheck for any LED charging activity in the rear= nothing - I drain the battery to the Bios by removing A/C power and running on battery power only. It take 42s to drain battery. I push on button and I have two light lit. I can't boot. I must plug AC adaptater to boot Windows - I boot and I ear a BIPPP. I see 2 leds flashing. I run XP with AC adaptater. - I read 43% 3 minutes after runnin XP 49% 4 minutes - I see 3 lights after 4 minutes at 49% 52% 5minutes 54% 6 minutes 57% 7 minutes 58% 8 minutes At 59%, lights stop flashing and charging stops I unplug ac adaptaterand I plug again: I see 19% and charging (4 lights flashing) 2 minutes after, it's at 62% and lights stops I do same thing and charging continues to 64% then stops I unplug again and XP say "critical battery" I do several times but impossible to go after 69% - I remove the battery from the OQO un der XP and replace it and I see 99% - I unplug AC adaptater, XP tells again "critical battery" but I am at 99% - I decide to see how much time the battery will drain with screen light on, bluetooth and wifi on - 2 minutes after, battery indicator tells me 9%. 4 minutes after, battery is at 0% but Xp continue to run - Xp stop without prevent after 31 minutes, battery is drain. Only one light flashing PLEAAAAAAAAASE HELP ME
